A plain-language privacy policy.

What this is
GoodCraft is a one-person studio operated by Nathan Anderson out of Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. This page tells you what data this site collects, how it's used, and how to reach me about it.
If you're looking for a long, lawyered policy, this is not it. If you have a specific question about your data, email [email protected] and you'll get a response from a real person, usually same-day.
What I collect
Email addresses you submit to the Field Notes form, so I can send you the occasional update.
Email and message content when you reach out through [email protected] or the contact form, so I can reply.
Standard server logs (IP address, request path, user agent) for security and debugging. These are rotated and aren't used for advertising.
Anonymized analytics about which pages people visit. I don't use third-party advertising trackers on this site.
How I use it
Field Notes emails are stored in my email tool (Customer.io). They are used only to send the Field Notes update list. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of any email or by replying with the word "unsubscribe."
Contact emails are stored in standard email infrastructure. I respond, then archive.
Server logs are kept for a short retention period for security purposes and discarded.
What I do not do
I do not sell your data.
I do not run advertising trackers on this site.
I do not share your information with anyone outside the tools required to deliver the service (email, hosting, analytics).
Your rights
Email [email protected] and ask. You can request a copy of any data I have on file, ask me to delete it, or unsubscribe from anything you previously subscribed to.
